Romans 12:14-21

Jun 28, 2026    Phil Steiger

When opposition comes, the natural response is to defend ourselves, go silent, or conform. But Romans 12 calls Christians to something far more radical: to bless those who persecute them. This is not a strategy for changing others' behavior. It is a call to obedience rooted in a transformed mind. Christians are not called to be conquerors by force, but by faithfulness. We bless instead of conforming, bless instead of hating, and bless instead of going silent. The ultimate example is Christ Himself, who from the cross asked the Father to forgive those who crucified Him. As our minds are renewed, our responses begin to look less like the world and more like Him.
